I was planning a family trip to Yogyakarta and needed to rent a car for two days. I was searching on Google and came across this page which had very positive reviews for Bayu and his team. So I decided to go ahead and contacted him.

The booking process was very simple and Bayu was very responsive to my messages. We were met at our hotel by Didik, our assigned driver. Didik was most friendly and helpful during our time in Yogyakarta. He took us around to our places of interest and helped us communicate with the locals. Didik made it so easy for us to get around Yogyakarta without any hassle and we were able to enjoy our time there fully.

Didik was very knowledgeable of the area. We wanted to try some local food for lunch and the nasi padang restaurant that he brought us to was amazing. At the end of our trip, Didik suggested that we check out Candi Ijo which had an amazing view of the city of Yogyakarta from the top of a hill in the beautiful sunset. The best way possible to end our trip.

Came across one of the driver’s and decided to book him as our driver, even though we had to change driver before the trip, the driver that we got (Heru) was equally knowledgable about the places here and brought us to all the places we wanted to visit!!! Some days we had to set off at 4am to catch the sunrise, he was punctual as well. He also took the initiative to take pictures for us. We chanced upon Bayu while searching for a driver from Google search. Out of all the Drivers and tour groups, we chose him because we felt that he was the most sincere and most trustworthy. We are really blessed to have him as our driver for full three days. He completed our Yogyakarta adventure to all the places we have wanted to go regardless of some of the mornings we requested for 3.30am pickup to see the sunrise.

He knows all the roads really well. His car was really comfortable that we fell asleep in our car journeys 😅. The car playlist was good with English songs and occasionally nice indo songs. He is proficient with conversing English 👍 We trusted him with all our belongings while we were at Oyo cave and river rafting.

Though it was 2h away to sandboarding area at close evening, he was willing to bring us there to complete our adventure with our choice. We had arranged an airport pickup and a 1.5 day tour. Our driver Aryo was waiting for us and we proceeded on our tour. The van, a Toyota Hiace was very comfortable for 7 people and very clean. We booked Bayu as our driver last minute after finding his website online, to take us from our hotel central Yogyakarta first to Jambolan Cave, then Prambanan temple, before dropping us off in Borobudur in the evening ready for our sunrise visit to the temple the next morning.

He arrived on time around 6am and took us out for the long day. We had a great time through out the trip chatting about our different cultures and backgrounds, practicing our bad Javanese, and became good friends by the end of the day. The first place we tried to book a car told us it wouldn’t be possible to do this trip in one day, but Bayu got us to Borobudur by around 8pm.
